My Top Five Christmas Anthologies

Hey Guys!

It is day 20! Only 5 more days to go! can you believe that we are so close to the big day? anywho, if you know me at all then you will know that in December I only read Christmas themed books. it is how I get into the festive spirit. Well, my favorite type of Christmas book is a festive anthology. I love a good anthology. I love getting to experience all the different stories and authors. so today I thought that I would share with you my top 5 Christmas anthologies. Let’s do this!

My True Love Gave To Me

This is a beautiful YA anthology containing 12 short love stories all set over the festive period. There is a story for everyone in this anthology. Each story will leave you wanting more and make you feel super festive. What is brilliant about this is that every story is very different. You have Santa’s daughter, an adorable gay couple, Krumpus, a young arsonist, the cutest couple in existence and so much more. Also, the stories are scattered over the whole festive period, some at Christmas, some at new year’s, some throughout the whole season. This is such a lovely book and such a brilliant way to discover new authors. I have read it twice and I loved it just as much the second time around. Kind of tempted to read it this year as well.

Let It Snow

I love this book. It is a collection of three short stories, each one of which is a holiday romance. And all of whom overlap and intertwine with each other. This is a brilliant collection. All three stories are such good reads. They are all light and fluffy and festive. You cannot help but fall in love a little bit while reading this book. It has everything you could ever wish for in a Christmas book. Cute couples, lot of laughs, a snowstorm, festive cheer, a dozen cheerleaders and even a teacup pig. What more could you wish for?

Winter Magic

I loved this anthology. Winter Magic is a collection of a dozen or so short stories all set during the wintertime and all based around magic, in all different shapes and forms. This book has it all. There are adventures, retellings of classic fairy tales, new spins on true events and even a murder mystery. There is a story for everyone in this collection. Although this is a winter-themed anthology, several of the stories are set at Christmas time, and most of them have a magical, Christmassy feeling to them. you cannot help but feel festive after reading this book.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas

This festive anthology is the perfect book for the season. Explore 14 short stories and poems, each written by a different UK, YA author. Every tale in this book explores the theme of ‘home’ and what it means to different people. Each story is set at Christmas, and most have a secondary theme, crisis. Not only will this anthology put you in the festive spirit, but it will help a good cause. At least £1 from every sale of this book goes to the charity CRISIS. This is such a wonderful book with stories from Non Pratt, Holly Bourne, Juno Dawson and many more. It is the perfect book for the season, particularly if you don’t have the spare time to dedicate to a full book.

The 12 Doctors Of Christmas

This collection of Doctor Who themed, Christmas, short stories is perfect for any doctor who fan. It is nerdy and festive and just, good fun. Each of the twelve stories centers around a different version of The Doctor and features some of his most popular companions. From Ian Chesterton to Jackie Tyler, this book has it all. If you want a fun little collection to curl up with by the Christmas tree, this is the one for you.

And there we have it! What is your opinion on anthologies? Love them? or hate them? and, are there any Christmas themed anthologies that you think that I enjoy? I hope that you have enjoyed today’s post and I will see you all again tomorrow
