As a general rule, I don’t really read thrillers/murder mystery books. they just aren’t something that particularly appeal to me and I don’t often find myself reaching for them. I decided to give this one a go, purely because my sister has been badgering me to read it for months and do you know what? I did actually really enjoy this book.

This is a new twist on the classic who did t I loved that, although I thought that I knew who did it (I was right) this book kept me questioning it. it was constantly making me wonder if I actually knew what was actually going on and if I really knew the characters. I can 100% understand why this book was getting so much hype when It was first released. It somehow manages to be suspenseful and dramatic and intense, while also still being very light and easy to read. it was the perfect blend and I think that it was a huge part of the reason as to why I enjoyed it so much. it drew me in and kept me guessing while not being able to dense or difficult to read. I was surprised by how enjoyable I found this book to read.

What really made this book through were the characters. they were great. When I first picked this book up. I thought that they would really annoy me. I don’t have a lot of patience for annoying characters. when we were first introduced to everyone I was honestly expecting to hate them all. Particularly Addie. I was whole heartedly expecting to be completely and utterly infuriated by here. but I was really wrong. I really liked everyone. I liked that we really got a chance to get to know everyone and see each and every character grow and change and become the people that they are meant to be. I ended up really growing to like all of the characters and I found myself hoping that they were innocent and that they didn’t do it.

I whizzed through this book. I read it in just a couple of days. I didn’t want to put it down. I have to say that I am glad that I caved and let my sister talk me into reading it.
