If you follow my blog at all then you will know that every three months, I make a post called ‘Books That I Am Excited For’ where I talk all about the upcoming book releases that I am really excited for. Essentially it is a list of my highly anticipated book releases for the next few months. So, let’s do this. here are all the books being released between September 1st 2019 and December 31st. There are so many incredible books coming out in the last bit of this year, I am so excited!
Crownbreaker by Sebastien de Castell – October 17th
The sixth – and final – instalment of the inimitable SPELLSLINGER series.
The game of war is always rigged . . .
Kellen and Reichis are settling into their lives as protectors of the young queen. For the first time Kellen feels as if he’s becoming the kind of man that his mentor Ferius had wanted him to be. Even Reichis has come to appreciate having a noble purpose – so long as no one minds him committing the occasional act of theft from the royal treasury.
But thousands of miles away a war is brewing that the Argosi always warned could destroy the continent. An unexpected source brings word that there’s one way Kellen can prevent a hundred years of bloodshed, and all it requires is a little murder . . .
Now Kellen and his sister Shalla find themselves on opposite sides, and neither love nor loyalty can protect them from the choices they must make.
This is one of the most criminally underrated series around. I have been with it since the very first book and it is hard to believe that it is coming to an end. I am currently a book behind in it, but I am still so excited for the final book to be out. I know that I am going to love it and I am really interested to see how this series is going to end. If you haven’t read this series, you should. It is funny and easy to read but also hard-hitting and packed full of magic. I love it.
In The Time We Lost by Carrie Hope Fletcher – October 17th
Luna Lark used to love her name, but that was before people started saying it differently.
I’m so sorry, Luna.
Are you alright, Luna?
Everything will be okay, Luna.
Luna doesn’t want pity, what she wants is a fresh start. Somewhere she can make headway on her next novel, mend her broken heart, and – most importantly – keep herself to herself.
For that Luna needs the most remote place she can find: Ondingside, a magical little island off the wild coast of Scotland. And when the town is cut off on her first night by a freak July snow storm it feels like fate.
But Luna soon realises that being a newcomer in a small town might not be the best way to blend in. People are curious about her – handsome, kind, coffee shop owner Beau in particular. Will history repeat itself or will they have a future?
I really like Carrie Hope Fletchers books. She is one of the few authors writing light magical realism books. I can’t wait to get my hands on her next book!
Call Down The Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater – November 5th
From the #1 New York Times Bestselling author of The Raven Cycle, the mesmerizing story of those who can bring parts of their dreams into reality . . . and those who will stop at nothing to destroy them.

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern – November 5th
The magical new novel from the bestselling author of The Night Circus.
Are you lost or are you exploring?
When Zachary Rawlins stumbles across a strange book hidden in his university library it leads him on a quest unlike any other. Its pages entrance him with their tales of lovelorn prisoners, lost cities and nameless acolytes, but they also contain something impossible: a recollection from his own childhood.
Determined to solve the puzzle of the book, Zachary follows the clues he finds on the cover – a bee, a key and a sword. They guide him to a masquerade ball, to a dangerous secret club, and finally through a magical doorway created by the fierce and mysterious Mirabel. This door leads to a subterranean labyrinth filled with stories, hidden far beneath the surface of the earth.
When the labyrinth is threatened, Zachary must race with Mirabel, and Dorian, a handsome barefoot man with shifting alliances, through its twisting tunnels and crowded ballrooms, searching for the end of his story.
You are invited to join Zachary on the starless sea: the home of storytellers, story-lovers and those who will protect our stories at all costs.
I was starting to think that Erin Morgenstern was never going to publish another book! I read The Night Circus a few years ago and fell in love with it! it is such a beautiful story. And so atmospheric. I loved every second of it. I can’t believe that she has finally written another book and that I am finally going to read it!

The Queen Of Nothing by Holly Black – November 19th
After being pronounced Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the Wicked King Cardan, Jude finds herself unmoored, the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak, watching reality television, and doing odd jobs, including squaring up to a cannibalistic faerie.
