Illumicrate Unboxing

Hey Guys!

We are at the end of yet another month and that can only mean one thing, it is time for another Illumicrate Unboxing! If you are unsure what Illumicrate is, it is a monthly subscription box that contains a newly released Hardback book, usually YA and usually an exclusive edition, and 4 to 6 bookish items all centred around a common theme. The theme for the September box is High Stakes. So, let’s do this!

Side note: I am in no way affiliated with Illumicrate. I buy it with my own money and unbox it o here as I enjoy doing it and sharing my opinions on it with you

I don’t know how I feel about this box. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either. I’ve never heard of the book before but it sounds alright, not something that I am hugely excited to read but I will probably get to it at some point. the items were a little bit disappointing. The travel mug is beautiful, but mine has several imperfections on it (a small tear in the silicon lid, a couple of chips in the paint and scuffs) but it’s alright. the scarf is a nice idea, but I feel like it could of been done better, the good omens pad was pretty disappointing, I would have liked to see a different item or at least had this one be an actual notebook or something. And the lanyard barely classes as bookish. The postcard is pretty cool and I do like that, and I do still love the little magnetic coins that they are doing. But as you can see, I wasn’t in love with this box. It was pretty mediocre, which was disanointing.

And there we have it. what did you think of this box? Do you get any subscription boxes? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.
