Once again, it is Saturday and that means this it is time for another book review. today I am continuing with a series that I have completely fallen in love with and that is The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. So, without further ado, here is my review for Cress. Let’s do this!
I think that this may possibly be my favourite book of the series so far. It was absolutely brilliant and I loved every second of it. I honestly do not know why I waited so long to read this series!
I am completely in love with this series. I’m so intrigued by this story and I loved this instalment of it. it added so much to the world and the story. I honestly wasn’t sure where the story was going to go in this book or how I would feel about it since I have heard some very mixed things about this particular book. but I actually really enjoyed it. I loved that we got to explore so much more of the world. We got to see different cultures and environments. I feel like this book just expanded the story so much and added so much to it. I was worried that this would feel like a filler book, but it really didn’t. it not only set up the story for the final book but it was also a solid story as and off itself.
I think that the reason that I enjoyed this book so much was because of the characters. I just them so much. they have all grown so much in this book. I absolutely adore Thorne and he has had such major development in this book. I have loved watching him truly growing into the person/hero that we already knew that he could be. The same with Cinder. She is such a strong characters and has come so far already. She is finally starting to truly accept her fate and her true identity. It has been so great to watch. I also, somewhat surprisingly, really liked Cress. I admit that I did find her naivety a bit annoying at times, but for the most part I really liked her. I loved how awkward she was but also how excitable and adorable she is. She is such a nice character to read. a breath of fresh air.
All in all, I really liked this book. it was so damn good. it was full of drama and suspense, mystery and adventure, romance and friendship. It was just brilliant. if you haven’t read this series yet, you need to. as soon as humanly possible.
4.5 out of 5
And there we have it have you read this series yet? what did you think about Cress? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.
