Book Review: Percy Jackson And The Singer Of Apollo by Rick Riordan

Hey Guys!

We have finally reached Sunday and that means that it is time for another book review. This week I am getting into the spirit of World Book Day (which falls on the 7th) and reviewing one of this year’s £1 books. So, here are my thoughts on Percy Jackson And The Singer Of Apollo by Rick Riordan. Let’s do this!

Okay, I hadn’t realised how much I had missed Rick Riordan’s writing until I picked this book up. it just instantly made me smile. I haven’t read one of his books since June, and honestly, I had missed this world.

Considering how short this book is there was a hell of a lot jammed into the story. It held everything that Riordan’s full novels hold, but condensed down. I actually felt like I got a whole story, which isn’t always the case with these, essentially, novellas. But this one was just so jam packed with action and adventure, humour and high stakes. It was just brilliant. such a great little addition to the Percy Jackson universe!

And honestly, it was nice to be back with our original duo. It feels like I haven’t read about just Percy and Grover in years. And let’s be honest, I probably haven’t. but it was just so nice to be back with them again. I hadn’t realised how much I miss this duo. I just love how they interact with one another, and how they are both a little bit useless, but always manage to save the day in the end. It is just such a great dynamic and I love reading them.

All in all, I am really glad that I decided to pick this little book up, and give it a go. it is such a fun little addition to the worlds and any Percy Jackson fan will love it!
