Books That I Want To Re-read

Hey Guys!

Today I thought that I would talk to you about some of the books that I would really like to reread in 2018. In my reading wrap up post I talked about my bookish goals for this year and one of them was to re-read some of my favourite books. This was inspired by reading a few old favourites last year (Silverfin, Twilight Saga, Tales From The Kingdoms, A Beastly Tale and a few others). But, as of right now, it is March and I have yet to pick any up. So today I thought that I would tell you which books I am hoping to re-read this year and hopefully motivate myself to reread some of these beautiful books.

Harry Potter by J K Rowling

I re-read the first book last year and it made me realise how long it has been since I re-read this series. I used to read it at least once a year but I haven’t read them again since 2013, maybe 2014, so, I really want to pick Potter up again as I really miss this world.

A Darker Shade Of Magic by V E Schwab

Ideally I would love to reread this whole trilogy since it instantly became one of my all-time favourites when I read it last year, but I know that realistically, I probably won’t have time to (a conjuring of light is fucking huge), but I would like to at least reread the first book, which is my favourite of the three.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I just love this book. And I want to experience again. Simple as.

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

I read this series in 2016 and freaking loved it. I adore these books, they are one of my all-time favourite series and I really want to reread them. I have actually wanted to read them again ever since I finished read Clockwork Princess, so it is about time that I actually did it.

The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer

As I mentioned earlier, between November last year and February this year, I reread the whole twilight saga and fell in love with it all over again (judge me all you like, I like them. I know they are crap but they are my guilty pleasure read) so I would quite like to pick up this little novella as well. I only ever read this once (where as I read the original series a dozen times) so it would be nice to revisit it as I can’t really remember it.

And that is about it. I would love to re-read the Court Of Thorns And Roses series as well, but think that I should wait a while for that one as I only finished it in November lol. Are there any books that you would like to reread in 2018? I honestly don’t re-read enough, so I am really pushing myself to go back to these books and experience the joy again. I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.

  1. I love love love the Hunger Games trilogy and had I produced a girl child she was going to be called Katniss. But books very much are different strokes for different folks and we are all allowed to read what the f**k we want with NO guilt whatsoever!!! To hell with the grammar police and the literary police! We read what we want and that is that! Enjoy your books everyone!

  2. I agree with so many of these! I’d love to reread a few of the series you picked, if only we had more time in the day to manage it. Also, don’t feel guilty for your Twilight love. Maybe it isn’t perfect but I loved it as a teenager and it helped shape the genres I read now!

    1. I swear there never feels like enough time to reread books. Whenever I do, I always end up feeling a little bit guilty because it means that I am not reading one of the (literally) 200 books on my TBR pile :/ . Hopefully this year I will be able to break that way of looking at it. I so desperately want to reread all of these book, especially the Infernal Devices!
I owe a lot to Twilight. It is what got me back into reading. If I had never picked it up, I wouldn’t be the reader that I am now xx

      1. I totally feel you! I’m always afraid to reread books because I think I need to read new ones, which is really silly. There are much worse books than Twilight that have huge followings and the world would be boring if we all liked the same things so keep loving the series!

  3. The Twilight novels are not my cup of tea, but if you love then then you absolutely have the right to love them without uppity literary snobs looking down their noses at you. A friend of mine loves the 50 Shades series (again, not my cup of tea – I’m a crime drama/psychological thriller type of girl. But I will not sit back and let one of my best friends be called a moron just because of the books she reads!

    1. Exactly! People get so up themselves about other people’s taste in books and it is so rediculaus. People all have different tastes, that’s what is so brilliant about books, there is something for everyone.
Plus, when it comes down to it, I know twilight is a heap of shit but it is my guilt pleasure read. I think everyone has at least one really crap book that they can’t help but love 📚
