Welcome to my first seasonal post of 2018! It is so weird to think that we are starting this afresh again. Anyway, I am kicking this off with my winter nails pot! Whoop whoop! Just in case you are new and have no idea what I am talking about, basically each season I make a series of four posts, each one regarding a certain topic within that season. So, winter nails, spring candles, summer photography, autumn reads and you get the idea. So, without further ado, let’s get to my nails post.
I am going to be 100% honest with you right now. I have been being super lazy with my nails at the moment. I have broken all of them recently, so they are very short and I just haven’t had the motivation to do anything to them recently. I have basically just been switching between the same three shades. I don’t know why I am so unmotivated at the moment, but I am. But despite my lack of motivation, I thought that I would still make my winter nails post. Mainly because this is real life and it is only right that I am honest with you about how I am feeling. Plus, despite my lack of variety, all the colours that I have been wearing are all wintery. My god, this is the longest into ever, let’s get to the actual post.
All three of the shades that I have been wearing lately are all by Barry M. As I am sure you know by now, I love Barry M. they are one of my favourite nail varnish brands. I love them. They have a brilliant range of colours, they are really affordable and they wear really well. So it is unsurprising that I have been reaching for them even more than usual lately.
The three shades that I have been reaching for are Black Diamond, Earle Grey and Blackberry. None of these colours are standard finish varnishes. Black Diamond is one of the molten metal shades. This means that it is kind of metallic. It is a really pretty shade. It is black and is almost speckled in appearance. It is like a cross between metallic and glittery. I love it. then there is Blackberry, which is a Gelly finish. This one is a really deep blue colour and it is a gelly so it is a high shin finish. Finally, there is Earle Grey. This was a limited edition shade that was released last year. It was called ‘Frosted Cupcake’ and is kind of similar to Black Diamond in tis speckled finished. It isn’t quite glittery but isn’t quite not either. It is light grey and I love it. I really hope that they bring this finish back because it is beautiful.
And that’s about it really. Those are the only shades that I have been reaching for lately. What nail varnish have you been wearing recently? Are you being more adventurous then I am? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.
