Hey Guys!
Welcome to day 21! Only a few more days to go now. Since we are getting so close, I thought that I would share with you a really quick, easy treat, that is perfect for a Christmas movie night, or makes a brilliant last minuet present. And that is my Christmas Popcorn recipe, and better than that, I am going to be sharing two different versions of it with you. Let’s do this.
Christmas Overload Popcorn
You Will Need:
150g Plain Popped Popcorn (you can either buy it pre-popped, or do it yourself, it doesn’t matter)
100g Milk Chocolate
75g White Chocolate
100g Mini Marshmallows
50g Candy Canes
How To Make:
- First, spread your already popped popcorn out on a baking tray/cookie sheet. This is the best way to make sure everything gets some yummy goodness on it.
- Next, melt your chocolate. You can use a microwave or Bain Marie, which every you prefer. As long as it is completely melted.
- Now, starting with your milk chocolate, you are going to drizzle it over your popcorn. The easiest way to do this is to use a table spoon, and over your popcorn tap the wrist holding the spoon with the other hand. This makes the chocolate spread really evenly and gives a really professional look. You can honestly use as little or as much chocolate for this as you like.
- Next, do the same with your white chocolate.
- Now you need to crush your candy canes. I find that the best way to do this is to pop them in a sandwich/zip lock bag and then either repeatedly throw it on a stone floor, or hit it with a rolling pin.
- Once crushed, sprinkle your candy canes all over your popcorn.
- Next, sprinkle your mini marshmallows onto your popcorn as well.
- Leave everything to set for a few hours and then you are ready to serve. Just pop your popcorn into a bowl and serve. (some pieces may be stuck together, you can serve like that or break them up, that’s up to you)
- You can also put your popcorn in an air tight container and it will last for a couple of weeks.
Salted Caramel Popcorn
You Will Need:

100g Caramel

How To Make:
- First, spread your already popped popcorn out on a baking tray/cookie sheet. This is the best way to make sure everything gets some yummy goodness on it.
- Next, melt your chocolate. You can use a microwave or Bain Marie, which every you prefer. As long as it is completely melted.
- Now, with your melted milk chocolate, you are going to drizzle it over your popcorn. This makes the chocolate spread really evenly and gives a really professional look. You can honestly use as little or as much chocolate for this as you like.
- Next, do the same thing with your caramel
- Finally sprinkle with some sea salt. You can use either finally ground salt or chunkier, depending on your preferences. And as much or as little as you like.
- Leave everything to set for a few hours and then you are ready to serve. Just pop your popcorn into a bowl and serve. (some pieces may be stuck tighter, you can serve like that or break them up, that’s up to you)

And there we have it. a really easy treat. If you are making this as a gift it looks really nice in a big mason jar with a ribbon tied in a bow around its neck, or you could pop it into cellophane bags, for a smaller gift. What I love about this idea is that you can basically do anything with it. In the past I have put crushed pretzels on it, peanut butter, dried fruit, anything. That is the beauty of popcorn, it goes with everything. What would you put on your popcorn? If you make this, I would love to see what you do with it. tag me on social media or use #efrpopcorn. I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again tomorrow.
