Its day 13! And we are back to normal Blogmas posts. And more than that, today we are continuing with my Christmas series, and doing my Christmas nails post. If you have no idea what I am talking about with that, basically, each season I make a series of four posts, each one regarding a certain topic within that season, for instance, summer reads, winter nails ect ect. well, at Christmas I also do a Christmas version of these posts. So, here are my Christmas nails.
I will be 100% honest with you, I have only just started doing anything festive on my nails. Because of what has been going on in my personal life these last weeks, I am not feeling at all festive and have been really struggling with the whole Christmas thing. And so, I have still been wearing my go to black nail varnish until today. Today I finally changed it to something mildly festive. And I have a feeling that this is the only option I am going to have this year.
So, the way that I am wearing my nails this Christmas is actually the same as I did last year. So, I am simply wearing The Body Shops nail varnish in the shade Silver Metal, which is, shockingly, silver. I don’t actually think that you can still get these, I got mine a couple of years ago and I think that they may have been limited edition. Which is actually a shame since this is the best silver that I have ever come across, and I also own the gold in the same, and they are both really good.
I have also added a little bit of sparkle to the mix, just to make it feel a bit more festive, and make it look like I have made a bit of effort. So, on my ring finger on each hand I have added a sparkly top coat. The one that I have used is one by Leighton Denny in the shade ‘Twinkle Twinkle’. This stuff is so glittery and sparkly, it looks really nice and festive, but I will admit, it is a bitch to take off.
And that is it. I may switch to gold at some point, but do the same look in it. if I do I will use The Body Shop shade in ‘Gold Metal’ and anther Leighton Denny sparkly topcoat, this time in ‘Gold Rush’. But if I do switch to gold, it won’t be until right before Christmas.
What have you been wearing on your nails so far this Christmas? Any nice shades that I should check out? or looks that I should try? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.
