Its Blogmas day 1!!!! Whoop whoop! I have got tons of really fun blog posts planned and I can’t wait to share them with you 😀 . today I am kicking of Blogmas with my first of the month usual, my monthly favourites post. So let’s do this!
I have read a few really amazing books in November. The books that I loved the most were Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo, Northern Lights by Phillip Pullman and also Vicious by V E Schwab. All three of these books where incredible and well worth a read.
This a true classic, winter comfort food, homemade rice pudding. My god that stuff is good. My mother has made it several times in the last few months and it is just so good. There is nothing better on a good evening then curling up with a bowl of hot rice pudding. Love it.
Wrapping Christmas presents. Yes, I really am that sad. I really enjoy wrapping present. I have spent several evenings recently sitting on the floor, wrapping things and I have been loving it.
Favourite Past Time
Ice staking. The town where I live gets a temporary ice rink every Christmas and I love it. I don’t go very often but when I do I always love it. I wish there was a permanent ice rink somewhere near me as I would love to be able to skate on a regular basis. I love it.
This month I finally got around to watching The Martian. I have been meaning to watch this film ever since I read the book last year but I have never gotten around to it, but since Weir’s new book came out in November I decided to try and watch The Martian before it was released and I love that film. They managed to stay really true to the story and I loved it. Brilliant film.
My Nan. She passed away very suddenly in the middle of the month and I am heart broken. But I have been trying to focus on the positive (she would have hated the idea of us sitting around mourning her), and i have remembered so many little things that i had forgotten. So, here’s to you Nan, I miss you already.
And that’s about it. November is always a bit of a meh month for me. Not quite Christmas, not quiet not Christmas. It’s always just a bit bleh. I heard someone describe November as the Thursday of the year recently and it is so accurate. But anyway, it December now so I’m happy. What did you love in November? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again tomorrow.
