Autumn Candles

Hey Guys!

It is time for me to continue my seasons posts. This time it is the turn of my autumn candles. If you don’t know what I am talking about, essentially, each season I make a series of four posts, each one regarding a certain topic within that season, so summer reads, winter nails etc. etc.. well today it is the turn of my autumn candles post. So, before I waffle on for too long, here are the candles that I have been loving recently.

As you all know by now I am a massive scented candle fan. I always have sometime burning in my room. To me there is nothing better than filling your home with amazing scents. I love it. and my taste in scent changes from season to season, for instance in the summer I like fruity scents, in spring I like fresh ones and so on. well in autumn I like spicy and rich scents. But also sometimes some really sweet scents. Just real, like, comfort scents. I like nothing better on a cold autumn evening then curling up in a warm blanket, with a good book, a giant mug of tea and just blocking out the world. But to do that, you need the perfect scent. So, here are the candles that I have been loving so far this autumn.

Yankee Candle

Autumn Nights

Amber Moon

Tarte Tatin

Flamingo Candles

Cinnamon Bun

Candleberry Candles

Pumpkin Pecan Waffle

As you can, I haven’t been burning many scents recently and none of the ones I have are new ones. I haven’t had an opportunity to go candle shopping in ages, so I am currently just burning my way through my ridiculously large collection. I also haven’t been burning candles as often as usual recently. I think some of the reason behind this is because I have been working more than usual so I am not spending as much time in the house and, subsequently, don’t often have enough time at home to light a candle. But, when I have been lighting one, I have been loving these scents.

All of the Yankee scents that I have been burning recently are old favourites. All three of these have been around for ages (although they did discontinue Amber Moon last year), but I still love them. all three of them are very much comfort scents. They are the type of scents that make you want to curl up in the warm and read a book. I love them. although I have gone of Yankee a bit in recent years. I haven’t loved many of their newer scents and they keep discontinuing ones that I love. Plus, they keep putting their prices up. I am definitely finding myself gravitating towards other brands.

Speaking of other brands, I think Flamingo Candles may be my current favourite candle brand. They are amazing. They burn beautifully, smell incredible and are much better value for money. Where I buy them they are £12 each but are regularly on a 2 for £20 deal. They are great value for money and so good. Both of the scents that I have been reaching for recently are both last year’s Christmas scents (and I believe Gingerbread is back this year). I went a bit mad last year and brought several of the Christmas scents that I liked and I am still burning them now lol. I love both of these so much. They are both such warm, rich scents and so spicy. They both just scream autumn to me.

The other brand that I have discovered recently is Candleberry Co. they are kind of in-between Yankee and Flamingo price wise but they are just as good as Flamingo. The scent that I have been loving is the only scent that I own by them, although I have smelt many. And oh my god is it good. If you even smelt Yankees old Pumpkin Pie candle (that they discontinued in the UK about 7 years ago), this smells just like it. you need to get this one. It is so good.

And that is it. Those are the scents that I have been loving so far this autumn. What have you been burning? I would love to know (I am noisy as hell). For anyone interested I buy all of my candles from Candle Scentral. They are a little independent store that stock Yankee Candles, Candleberry Co Candles, Flamingo Candles and another couple of brands. They are the same price as buying direct from Yankee and so on but they are completely independent. They have a little shop in Sussex and have the friendliest, most helpful staff. Do check them out, they have website that you can order from and they offer free delivery with any order over £35. ( I will see you all again very soon.

  1. Nothing better than cuddling up on the sofa in a cosy home with autumnal scents through the house. I love anything pumpkin spiced so I might have to check some of these candles out! Great post lovely xx
