First Impressions: Zoella Beauty, Jelly and Gelato Body Mist

Hey Guys!

It’s time for another first impressions post! And this time it is the return of a brand that I really love, Zoella Beauty! Recently she released a new range, with a new scent so upon release day I ordered myself the body mist. So, here is what I thought about it.

As you guys probably know, the body mists are my favourite Zoella Beauty products. They are what I reach for most. In fact, I use them pretty much every day. I love them. My favourite scent is the Sweet Inspirations one, if you are interested. But I knew that with this new Jelly and Gelato range that I would instantly buy the body mist, as it is the product that I am most likely to use. With this one I did something that I have never done before with this brand, I ordered it offline, without first seeing it in store. So, I literally had no idea what to expect when this arrived. And honestly? I was a bit disappointed with the scent.

I was expecting something very sweet, similar to Sweet Inspirations. I was thinking vanilla, sugar, maybe something berries like. I don’t know. I was just expecting sweet. The scent is actually fairly floral in my opinion. It smells a bit like Turkish delight. Its main scent note is rose water. Although there is also notes of vanilla and what I believe is elderflower. It is quite a light, fresh scent. And it does feel quite summery. Not exactly what I was expecting, but I don’t hate it. I will admit that I do still prefer the Sweet Inspirations one, but this one has beaten Tutti Fruity.

As with the other scents, this wears really well. I can pop on a couple of spritz of it in the morning before work and in the evening I can still get a waft of it. that is what I like about the Zoella Beauty body spitz’s, all through the day you get little wafts of the scent. I really like that. and it isn’t something you get with every perfume/spritz.

My only issue with this one (other than the scent not being what I was expecting), is that the scent does give me a bit of a headache. I can only wear a small amount of this one before it starts to get to me. Which is a shame. I do similar issues with the Tutti Fruity scent. That’s the reason why I don’t wear that one very often. But as long as I only wear one or two spritz of this one, I am okay. My head is a little tight, but not too bad.

I think overall this is a nice scent. Not as good as the original or the sweet inspiration ones, but pretty nice. It is a good summery scent and for only £8 a bottle, it is very good value for money. I will admit that the packaging for this one does annoy me a bit because it is very different to the previous 3 so it does kind of look out of place. But besides that, I like it. have you tried this new range yet? What do you think about it? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again soon.
