Hey Guys!
I’m not even going to try and be ashamed of myself, I brought even more books, and I don’t care. I like books and I have no self control. So whatever. Here is my most recent book haul. Actually, I will be honest, most of this I actually brought last month, but I brought a lot last month and thought it would be best to split it into two hauls. But, anyway. Here you are.
Username Evie by Joe Sugg – Amazon (£4.39)
Username: Regenerated by Joe Sugg – Amazon (£2.95)
I have wanted these graphic novels ever since they came out. We got them in at work and I flicked through them and thought that the artwork was just so stunningly beautiful and the storyline sounds amazing, but I have never gotten around to getting them until now. Hopefully I will have them both read before the final book comes out late this year.
A Gathering Of Shadows by V E Schwab – Amazon (£6.49)
A Conjuring Of Light by V E Schwab – Amazon (£5.99)
Vampire Knight: Vol 1 by Matsuri Hino – Amazon (£2.81)
I watched the first series of the Anime of this last year and it was the single most stupidly, hilarious thing that I have ever watched. I swear to god, if I had done a shot every time they said ‘vampire’ or ‘it’s been 4 years’ I would have been in a coma….so naturally I wanted to read the original manga….I’m not even sorry.
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro – Amazon (£2.81)
I watched the film of this a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. I thought that it was such an interesting and unusual concept and very kind of dark and twisted and heartbreaking. But I didn’t realise the film was based off a book until recently. So I decided to order it and see what I think of it.
Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick – Amazon (£2.81)
The Heart Collector by Melinda Salisbury (Ebook) – Amazon (£0.70)
Defender Of The Realm by Mark Huckerby & Nick Ostler – WHSmith (£3.49)
Spellslinger by Sebastien de Castell – WHSmith (12.99)
The Trials Of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan – Audible (£1.99)
I know I cant read this one until I have read HoO, but it was the deal of the day on audible and it was too goo a price to miss, so yeah, I brought it. Bad Beth lol.
The Picture Of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde – The Works (£0.35)
I recently saw the film, Dorian Gray and loved it and decided that I wanted to finally read the book, only to discover that I haven’t got a fucking clue where my copy of it is (my sister gave me her old school copy years ago when she got a nice hardback edition (that she wont let me touch lol)) so I ordered myself just the cheapest copy I could find, with the idea that if I enjoy it, I will get myself a nice edition. This one was spouse to be £2 but I had a voucher and money on my card so I got it for £0.35. Bargain.
The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare (and others) – ASDA (2 for £7)
Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare (and others) – ASDA (2 for £7)
I know I cant even read these yet, not until I have finished The Mortal Instruments (I am currently reading City Of Heavenly Fire) but this I know that I want to read them and this is the cheapest that I have ever seen Bane Chronicles (I have been keeping an eye on it since I read the Infernal Devices) and Shadowhunter Academy has only just come out in the right size here so it was a brilliant deal for it. I am so excited to read these.
And that’s it. W hats depressing is the fact that only about 4 of these where actually brought this month……whoops. I am really going to try and do a buying ban for a while, just so that I can try and tame my TBR pile a bit. It is getting out of hand. So, if all goes well, this may well be the last book haul for a couple of months. I’m aiming not to need to do one in June. Anyway, enough waffling I hope that you have enjoyed by lack of self control and I will see you all again very soon.
