Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cheesecake Recipe

Hey Guys!

Welcome to day 23!!! can you believe that we have made it this far? We are so nearly there. Anyway, lets get to today’s post. Today we are doing another recipe, this time it is for my favourite indulgent food. This is my Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cheesecake. This is the ultimate, luxury, treat at Christmas and I love it. I make one of these ever Christmas, as an alternative to Christmas cake. This was originally inspired by a Lorraine Pascale recipe, so lets do this.

What You Will Need:

400g Chocolate Digestive Biscuits, Crushed To Fine Crumbs

75g Butter (melted and cooled slightly)

800g Cream Cheese

1 Table Spoon Icing Sugar

400g Terry’s Chocolate Orange + 1 Extra Terry’s Chocolate Orange (for decoration)

How To Make:

  1. Mix the butter and crushed biscuits together in a bowel until well combined

  2. Spoon the mixture into a 23cm spring form tine and press down very hard all they way around the base until flat and even. I recommend pushing them down with a potato masher

  3. Mix the cream cheese and icing sugar tighter in a bowl

  4. Meanwhile melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water

  5. Place a large dollop of the cream cheese mixture into the chocolate and stir well until combined. Keep adding the mixture, one dollop at a time, and mixing it vigorously until the chocolate mixture becomes smooth and silky and you have added all of the cream cheese

  6. Pour the mixture onto the biscuit base and use the back of a large spoon to smooth the top, pressing down so that no gaps remain. Chill the cheesecake in the fridge for 20 minuets or until the chocolate top begins to firm

  7. Break apart your finial chocolate orange and place the segments evenly around the outside of your cheesecake. I usually place them in a circle around the outside of the cake, sometimes overlapping, but you can do them as a ring in the center, or however you like. You can also sprinkle over a little orange zest if you like, but thats completely optional.

  8. Return it to the fridge for at least 4 hours to completely set.

  9. Remove from the fridge and run a sharp knife around the inside of the tin and carefully remove the cake.

  10. Serve.

This cheesecake is honestly so luxurious it is incredible It is perfect for the festive season, particularly if you aren’t a fan of traditional deserts. Everyone in family loves these, even people that don’t like cheesecake, they are that good.

I really hope that you have enjoyed today’s post and that you love this recipe as much as I do. If you do make it I would love to see the results, tag me on social media or use #efrchocorangecheesecake . I am looking forward to see the results and I will see you all tomorrow, on Christmas eve, eek!!!
